Caleb’s enjoying the day off.
So, obviously it’s been some time since I last posted anything on here. I aim to change that.
Being a father takes a LOT of time, which should come as a surprise to no one. But in addition to the new father gig, I’m also pulling 12hr days at the sign shop I work at, split 50/50 between design work during the day and installation work trying to get all of the ADA signage up in the hospital we’re redoing by the end of the month. So time to work for me has been few and far between.
But that changes this week.
I saw some work someone did a few days ago that they made in 15 minutes. That was the point of it. They took 15 minutes, no more, no less, and designed something. Nothing fancy, just something. Real quick. And you could see that the longer they did it the nicer things tended to look. I think this is a train I can get aboard.
Expect to see it soon.
I’ve been super busy doing freelance work the past week or so, and that means I’ve gotten behind on doing work for me. But that’s good, right? That is the whole point of me starting this blog. And it’s good for you, because you get to see actual design work of mine, as opposed to the stuff I do on my couch.
The beauty in randomness. I love it. Chaos yields spectacular results, unexpected and glorious. It can be so much fun to play with, and that’s what I did this weekend. Check out the results, and the shirt made from them, below.
So this update (as well as being late) is not technically a Challenge update. It was a challenge, yes, but not a Challenge, if you will. It’s going to show some real world work that I was asked to put together in a fairly quick time frame. More after the jump.
Hey everyone. So, it’s Monday. Fun, I know. But I have something pretty for you to look at!
Recently I was contacted by a small pop-punk band to design a logo for a t-shirt. They sent me over a sketch to work from and I made it awesome.
Happy Friday, everyone! Sorry about missing Wednesday, I got a couple of projects that couldn’t be turned away. It’s weird, I went this long without really being able to find much freelance work and now I’ve got so many options I don’t know what to do! It’s awesome!
But anyway, on to today’s project: A NEW LOGO!
